3D & VFX Artist for WORKS, building bespoke visual elements for three equestrian disciplines: Vaulting, Driving, and Dressage. Each used Houdini for procedural generation and VFX, rendered in Cinema 4D and composited in After Effects.
3D & VFX Artist for WORKS, building bespoke visual elements for three equestrian disciplines: Vaulting, Driving, and Dressage. Each used Houdini for procedural generation and VFX, rendered in Cinema 4D and composited in After Effects.
For Driving, I scattered sand grains across the animated geometry and added sand simulation at the contact points: the wheels, the horses' hooves, to give the shot a sense of speed and dynamism.
For Vaulting, I used dual meshes in Houdini to build organic rock geometry based on the vaulting animation, rendered as crystal in Cinema 4D.
For Dressage, I built flowing curve animations using particles to guide the curves, matching the grace and precision of the routines.
