The FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 introduced "JIP," a dynamic mascot symbolizing the unity and cultural heritage of the host nations: Japan, Indonesia, and the Philippines. JIP's design incorporates elements from each country's culture, embodying the spirit of international basketball. WORKS helped creating the mascot as well as the reveal videos following the announcement.
My Role: 3D Artist and Motion Graphics Designer
In collaboration with WORKS, I contributed to the mascot's promotional assets by focusing on:
• Shading: Developed realistic textures and materials to enhance JIP's visual appeal.
• Rendering: Executed high-quality renders of the mascot for use in various media, maintaining consistency and visual integrity across all promotional materials.
• Editing and Motion Graphics: Crafted engaging animations, bringing the mascot to life and highlighting its connection to the host nations.
This project required a creative vision to effectively represent the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023's mascot and its cultural significance.
